Early in the morning of April 7, a UAV was performing efficient liquid pollination in a fragrant pear garden in Xinjiang, China.

As a famous fragrant pear production base in China, at present, 700000 mu of fragrant pear flowers of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps, located in the south of Tianshan Mountain, are blooming, entering a critical period of pollination of fragrant pear trees. Because the pollination time is short and the task is arduous, in order to seize the best pollination period of less than two weeks, fruit farmers race against time to artificially pollinate fragrant pears. With the increasing labor cost, our company has promoted UAV pollination technology. This technology frees Pear Farmers from the heavy pollination work with tight time, improves production efficiency, ensures the timely completion of pollination, and obtains greater harvest.

"This is an accidental opportunity. I found that it is a feasible way to use drones for pollination. That time, I was observing the growth of fruit trees in the orchard, and suddenly heard that there were drones flying nearby to prevent and control diseases. Suddenly, I had a bold idea, because there were no leaves when the fruit trees were blooming, so I think the possibility of using drones for pollination is very high. Through the cooperation between me and the researchers of our company With improvement, we conducted the experiment of pollination of fruit trees by UAV in 2016. The test results are very satisfactory. Good test results have been obtained through many tests in three years. Therefore, in 2019, we informed the customers who used our company's pollen about the operation methods and matters needing attention of this pollination operation. Through the careful operation of the customer, his orchard achieved the same effect as artificial pollination.

We have a set of data here. If it is artificial pollination, 100 mu orchard needs 30 skilled workers to work for 1-2 days. If the drone is used, it only takes a short three hours to complete the pollination of 100 mu, and the workers are very easy.
